Udaipur is a city in the state of Rajasthan with 450,000 inhabitants. Udaipur is also called ”the Venice of Rajasthan”, as it is surrounded by lakes. A landmark of the city is the City Palace, which is perched prominently on a mountain. Below is the historic old town center, filled with small streets, usually passable only with a rickshaw. Along the streets are many small shops that offer arts and crafts, textiles, jewelry and souvenirs. They are usually open from 11 am until at least 10 pm or longer. Bhattiyani Chotta Street is the main street visited by tourists. It leads from the entrance of the City Palace up the hill to the Jagdish Temple. From there the Jagdish Chowk leads down to Pichola Lake. Our guesthouse is located on a parallel street, the Rao ji ka Haata, a bit away from the hustle and bustle, yet only a few steps away from all the sights. On our contact page you will find our location on Google Maps.
